A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

FPS and platformer without direct movement—movement comes from your weapons.

Made for the 2018 GMTK Game Jam. The theme was "Genre, but you can't mechanic." In other words, make a game that fits a certain genre but is missing one of the main actions of that genre.

Theme

  • First-person and platforming genres without being able to directly control movement—movement comes from weapons
  • Also, an FPS with no enemies
  • Further breaks FPS expectations by moving your fingers from the WASD keys to the 1234 keys

Controls

  • Mouse to look
  • Left click to fire
  • 1, 2, 3, 4 to switch weapon
  • R to restart if you FAIL

Goal

  • Get good
  • Destroy as many target drones as you can

I love the title. Its so funny.

The idea of kickback knocking back the player, perhaps to nerf an overpowered sniper or rocketlauncher, is something I'm surprised I haven't seen before in a first person shooter!  I'm glad you guys tried this out, but my experience was not great.  I learned things, sure, but it was difficult to control, and some glitches hurt my experience.
